37. Press Down Palms with Empty Step

(l) Shift the weight backward, toes of the left foot turned inward, and turn the upper Part of the they to the right back ward. At the same time, withdraw the right palm to the front of the abdomen and Place the left palm in front of the left for of the forehead. Look straight ahead. (Fig.205)

(2) Shift the weight backward to the left leg, and raise the right foot, toes turned forward to form the right empty step. Lower the upper body and bend it slightly forward. Press the left palm downward above the right knee, palm down and thumb inward. Press the right palm by the side of the right hip, fingers forward. Look down and forward. (Fig. 206)

Points for attention: When executing the empty step, move the right foot slightly to the right, and relax the waist and hips. When pressing the palms, extend the shoulders and turn the waist. Do not lower the head or bend forward.
