34. Turn Right to Strike

(l) Shift the weight to the right, move the left foot one step backward (northwest), and bend the right leg to form the right bow step. Turn the left palm upward and move it in an arc to the front of the body and then back to the front of the abdomen. Turn the right palm downward and move it forward over the left forearm at shoulder level. Look at the right P3lm. (Fig.l86)

(2) Shift the weight backward to the left leg, move the right foot to the inner side of the left foot, toes on the floor, and turn the upper body to the left. Drop the right palm and clench it in front of the abdomen, knuckles forward and thumb side to the 1eft. Move the left palm in an arc to the left and upward to the front of the body, and turn it down to the inner side of the right forearm. The head follows the body’s turn. Look ahead. (Fig.l87)

(3) Turn the body slightly to the right, move the right foot to the original place (southeast), shift the weight forward, bend the right leg and straighten the left leg to form the right bow step. Raise the right fist past the left part of the chest to strike forward and upward, knuckles oblique1y outward at nose level. Place the left palm on the inner side of the right forearm. Look at the right fist. (Fig.l88)

Points for attention: Do not twist or cross the legs when executing the bow step. Other points are the same as those for Turn Left to Strike.
